Lakshaman is a serial entrepreneur with interests in digital media and transformation.
Lakshman is a financial journalism, digital transformation and media, corporate transformation thought leadership events, disaster risk reduction, financial inclusion, public policy, sustainability, contemporary history and economy, organizational development and corporate training.
He is the founding publisher of Lankan Business Online and the architect and host of groundbreaking thought leadership conferences and seminars produced LBO. Launched in 1999, LBO is Sri Lanka’s pioneering web based news services. At LBO, he mentored and nurtured a new generation of financial journalist.
A graduate of University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in mathematics, he pursued postgraduate studies in business administration at Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He is also a Disaster Resilience Leadership Fellow of Tulane University, New Orleans, USA.
His service is presently retained by Frankfurt School of Finance & Management as a national consultant on an ADB commissioned assignment.
He presently serves on the board of LIRNEasia – a regional think tank and is the Chairman of Sarvodaya SEEDS- an enterprise engaged in promoting sustainable agriculture, animal production and environmental solutions. He also advises on university curriculum development and is a visiting faculty member of university of Kelaniya.
Lakshaman is married, happily, with two grown up children. He resides in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
